The fourth question of Fatwa no. 8693Q 4: What does Shari`ah (Islamic law) prescribe as treatment for a person who is possessed byJinn (creatures created from fire)?A: Such a person should be treated by Ruqyah (reciting Qur'an and saying supplications over the sick seeking healing) and by repeating Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah) which has been authentically narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him). You may refer to the book entitled Al-Kalim Al-Tayyeb by Ibn Taymiyyah, the book entitled Al-Adhkar by Al-Nawawy and the book entitled Al-Wabil Al-Sayyib by Ibn Al-Qayyim. In these books you will find things that help you in this permissible Ruqyah.May Allah grant us success.
